A giant hard rock tunnel boring machine made by China for Georgia has been delivered. The machine, with a diameter of 15.08 meters, a length of 182 meters and a weight of 3,900 tonnes, will be used in the construction of an expressway tunnel in Georgia.

中鐵隧道局集團聯合設計制造的世界最大硬巖掘進機（中鐵859號）正式發運格魯吉亞，該機器直徑（φ15.08米），長182米，重達3900噸，將在格魯吉亞運來修建高速公路的隧道。

Many people know that China is building a lot of high-speed railways ( more than 4000 km of new high-speed railways were put into operation in 2019 alone. ), China is building subways crazily. 968 km of new subway lines were added in China in 2019. I believe that New York metro system (the longest one in US) will be less than the 10th city in China by the length of subway lines in less than 5 years

The tunnel boring machines were dominated by american, japanese and german manufacturers. Their machines were expensive, each one selling in excess of $120 million. But once china 's tbm come out, they are selling at 2/3 of the price to benefit the world.
